As China's electric?vehicle?technology matures,?the development pace of?the electric?car market?is also greatly?accelerating. The nation currently has 25 new?energy?vehicle demonstration pilot?cities, including?Beijing, Shanghai,?Dalian and?Guangzhou; each of which is required by the government to develop incentives to promote such programs to encourage the purchase?of new?energy vehicles. Major car makers are set to embark on?mass?promotion of their electric?vehicles in China next year. These developments necessitate eMobility China to provide a platform and play a leading role in the growth of this emerging field of the domestic automotive market.

Held at the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) from February 23-25, 2012, and organized by the China Electricity Council (CEC), China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) and Koelnmesse, eMobility China is one of China's most important trade fairs of its kind.

As an event spearheaded by the industry's government monitored electricity and grid providers, eMobility China's authoritativeness is unrivaled. CEC provides a channel for vertical integration between electric car manufacturers, and power producers. Organizers believe face-to-face interaction and new cooperation with advanced manufacturers abroad will greatly boost the development of the domestic industryIn addition, numerous government agencies have been endorsing the event since its last edition.

Co-organizer CATARC – a technical supporting organization of the government with?strong?background?and influence in the automotive?industry – is involved in the?industry's standard?and technical regulations, certification,?and planning and development; while supporters the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the National Energy Administration (NEA) and the State Electricity Regulatory Commission?(SERC) carry weight in policy-making.

A spokesperson said: “The gathering of new?energy companies,?power producer and the automotive industry in one arena effectively?promotes exchange and cooperation between the electric car business and new energy companies to achieve mass production, information technology integration, as well as better application of smart grid, energy storage, decentralized energy and other advanced technologies.”

Since the last eMobility China, national/regional pavilions have been one of the unique features of the event.

Taking the lead are pavilions from Holland, Taiwan, and a large German contingent, fronted by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany (BMWi) showcasing the industrial powerhouse's most cutting edge technology and equipment.

2012 is said to be a critical year for the China's electric vehicle industry. The 12th Five-Year Plan outlines two development objectives for the industry –miniaturization and the use of electricity to power vehicles. The future of China's?electric car?industry?will inevitably enter a?period of rapid growth and new energy vehicles, particularly plug-in hybrid and all-electric cars.

As part of Clean Energy Expo China (CEEC) exhibition and conference, eMobility China is enriched with a series of informative forums and seminars. Industry veterans, key officials from government agencies, China's major power producers, representatives from research and development institutions and players from all sectors of the electric vehicle industry will express their opinions on issues such as industry standards and its implications, as well as bottlenecks and solutions for domestic development.

Exhibitor and visitor registration is currently ongoing.
